Program Outline

The textile embellishment program allows individuals with a training in fashion design or working in a similar task of the apparel and fashion industry to improve its knowledge trough learning artisan techniques of textile transformation, (surfaces and materials) in order to apply them to industrial production. The apparel and fashion industry is in complete reorganization and value added products are part of a growing demand in this industry, thus this program makes it possible to develop these particular techniques of embellishment and distinguish them from the mass production garments.


 
 

The program aims:
to allow individuals, entering on the work force, to work the industrial textiles, (surfaces, embroideries) by adding an important value to it.
to encourage and exploit professional knowledge of designers or other related trades.
to support professional versatility of the individual giving tools to manage their career, particularly by the recognition of possibilities to start their own company.
to acquire hand made techniques and adapt them to the computerised techniques and industrial tools.

Admission requirements:
To own a certificate of high school degree (OF) or the equivalent and a formation in Fashion Design or in Garment sewing or have an equivalent experience in the industry.
